Graphic Design

I learned Graphic Design via a comprehensive colleg course covering everything from key design principles, to use of graphic design software and practice through lots of actual projects.

I learnt to use Adobe Photoshop to modify photos, use Adobe Illustrator to create vector designs including logos, and use Adobe InDesign to create brochures or packaging.

I explored the principles of colour, typography and layout for both digital and print media. There was a significant focus on determining the most appropriate choice for colours, shapes and overall presentation.

A significant part of the course also focused on designing for the Web, including creating and optimising graphics and images in Adobe Photoshop, and producing vector artwork such as logos and icons in Illustrator.

This strengthened my understanding of visual communication and the important role that design plays in the world around us.
