Digital Business Analyst and UX Designer
Combining user centred design with e-commerce business analysis, to create better products.
Whilst working as a Digital Business Analyst on digital projects where the user experience was key, I began to study and practice UX Design myself.
I also learned Web Design, Web Development, Graphic Design, 3D and Industrial Design. Outside of work my creative pursuits are varied and include landscape painting, sketching and writing.
Growing up as a studious individual, I studied at Oxford University and achieved a Mathematics Degree from Brasenose College, Oxford.
As a Digital BA I’ve worked for Clothing Retailers, Airlines, Stockbrokers and Luxury Brands, including complete digital replatform projects and mobile apps. As a UX Designer I have worked on projects for a Travel Agency, an Online Marketing agency and a Mentoring Platform.
Logical, organised, analytical and also creative. I look at any problem from a business, design and technical perspective, and work methodically to deliver the best solution.

Design Learning
User Experience
Initially gained knowledge of User Experience working closely with designers as part of my work on large commerical websites as Digital Business Analyst. I then did an live interactive programme called Kickstarter, which was taught by experienced UX Designers and UX Researchers, culminating in a real-life client project.
I continued my study with courses at the IxDF (Interaction Design Foundation) and developed experience by taking on projects for clients.
Web Design and Development
Took an in-person course at college teaching XHTML, CSS and JavaScript coding. The focus was on creating complete websites from scratch without any software tools. I’ve found this useful as it helped me understand how websites worked, optimise web pages and consider the possible issues/limitations with any proposal from business stakeholders or users.
Graphic Design
Learned Graphic Design via a London college, via a comprehensive course covering everything from key design principles, to use of graphic design software and practice through lots of actual projects.
I learnt to use Adobe Photoshop to modify photos, use Adobe Illustrator to create vector designs including logos, and use Adobe InDesign to create brochures or packaging.
3D and Industrial Design
My interest in 3D design and architecture lead me to Industrial Design via an interactive programme at Offsite in the USA.
This included a 3D Sketching course, where I drew ideas by hand using pen and paper, researching the market, testing ideas, before finalising and doing a final presentation. I also did their Methods course, which covered different apporoaches to generate product ideas. I also took their Discourse course, which was aabout design philosophy and the “why” behind who you are as a designer, conflict resolution and keeping perspective.
Separately, I have also studied Rhino 3D via a course in the London College of Art, learning to design 3D objects such as chairs, and complex jewellery. I intend to continue my 3D design studies, learning about Autodesk Fusion 360.
